Manager, Paul Lang said there was only one candidate for man of the match today and that was Luke Thompson. After a sublime performance in goal as the stand in 'keeper, everyone was in agreement. Well done Luke.

Kingsley United vs. Woolton Sharks - 13/12/09
After the 5-2 drumming we suffered earlier in the season, we expected more from today's game, but unfortunately, it never happened.
To start off with, we never had our first choice 'keeper available, but the stand in 'keeper was sensational. We pegged them back for about the first 10 minutes, but gradually, they eased their way into the game. We were unlucky to concede the first goal which was made by one of our former players, a cross by Adam, was turned in, unfortunately by the foot of our number 11 Sam Walkington. That's how it stayed until half time.
In the second half, the Sharks had chances and were the better team, but the whole occasion was overshadowed by a challenge on Lewis Foster. Fortunately, he was okay and got up from it, but well, it shouldn't happen. After the excitement of that spell, we gifted Kingsley 2 goals. One, a sublime free kick by Adam after a Will McGlade handball. Luke Thompson had a debut in goal as a stand in 'keeper and I have to say.... he was brilliant.
Unlucky, but well done Sharks!
